Ok, I’m 13, so I hope this will work for you!
Meals:
The best way to eat is 5-6 small meals a day, or eating every three hours. The purpose of this is to REV UP your metabolism, so your just burn calories! It’s also healthier than gorging at three meals a day. Plus, it curbs your appetite so you don’t over eat, or binge! And never eat under 1500 calories! That’s UNHEALTHY! Try to lean towards 1700-2000 calories a day! And have a cheat day! So you don’t go crazy from dieting! Plus, try eating smoothies for one of your meals! A healthy one, with just fruit, yogurt, juice, and ice! This is good because they are better for digestion, plus they are healthy AND you can add protein powder to them! Which is GREAT for after an exercise!
Exercise:
My work out routine is very simple. I walk/jog thirty minutes a day (Or three miles) NO less! Then if you want, try lifting weights, sit-ups or crunches, squats and lunges! Building muscle will BURN calories, even when you are just laying around! So, when you get back into shape, you can get into harder work outs, and basically eat what ever you want without worry!
Plus, REMEMBER, protein smoothies! They help since they are essential to muscle repair, and muscle only grows when it is repairing and at rest! So never workout more than 5 times a week. OR you will WEAR yourself out, and you have to have time for your muscles to rest!
Hope this helps, stay healthy, and be patient! Good things come to those who wait! And losing weight healthily can take up to 2 months for your satisfied results, so don’t feel discouraged, and you may build muscle on the way that will way more than fat! But, remember, even if you start to weigh more you are burning tons of calories!

It’s refreshing to hear from someone health-conscious about losing weight – I see so many 14-year-olds on here going “OMG I NEED TO LOSE THIRTY POUNDS IN TWENTY MINUTES WHAT SHOULD I DO?” =P
If you’re drinking sodas, try cutting those out. Try switching for juice drinks and the like, but watch the calories – just because it says “lemonade” doesn’t mean it’s actually any healthier than a coke =)
Try incorporating some whole grains – grain bread instead of white, brown rice instead of white, etc.. They’ll keep you full longer and help curb the urge to snack a little bit. Don’t forget the veggies, either – make sure you stay balanced!
If you want to snack, don’t do something sugary or starchy (breads, crackers, etc.) – those will make your blood sugar drop and make you hungrier faster. Try snacking on something with protein – cheese, yogurt, nuts, sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds. That way you can get the energy boost without the crash later.
Those are my tips. Good luck! =)

You should like go jogging.
At first its hecka hard and stuff cuz you cant run for long.
But then after like a good month of joggin. You start getting better and better, and you dont stop as much. And it gets you a lil healthier. And you start getting nice leg muscles(which is a good thing) :D
And eating like salads and stuff is like the best way to lose a lil weight.
:D
Oh drink arizona tea:)
Its natural and healthy and can help you get into shape
Something else that you can do is like listen to music and dance to it. That way you are workin out without the pain and suffering
-wish you the best of luck:)

Since you’re only 14, you are too young to diet. Dieting is when you temporarily change your eating pattern in order to lose weight and then you slowly put it back on again – this is not extremely healthy for anyone.
So instead of ‘dieting’ you should just make permanent changes to the way you eat. Instead of eating a few cookies, eat an apple. Instead of soda, drink diet soda or water. Eat breakfast every morning to help your metabolism. Start exercising at home or at the gym. If you incorporate some of these ideas into your everyday lifestyle, you will lose a bit of weight without having to work extremely hard at it and without starving your body.
Best of luck.

I’m 15, and I’m trying to do the same thing you are. I’m dropping 10 pounds this summer. :)
For exercise, I’m going running for 15-30 minutes 5 times a week and doing an overall body workout I got from Seventeen.
Eating wise, I have 3 meals a day, with proper proportions, and snacking on fruit. I drink only water and milk, and if I really need some sweets, I’ll have some chocolate chips.
The best way to lose weight and keep it off is to exercise regularly and eat healthy in medium-small amounts.
It is healthy to lose 1 pound a week. I’m aiming for 5 a month.
Good luck!

i would say cardio for thirty minutes is your best bet, because twenty minutes is just starting to get you to sweat and thats not enough to actually burn fat, also don’t eat sweets and you should be fine. but mostly cardio and weight lifting. because your burning calories while your lifting weights and your sweating which is just like cardio.

GOOD JOB on not wanting to take any pills! its hard to find people with such willpower. well since you’re so young the best thing i can recommend is portion control.google it and you will find portions of how many carbs’proteins etc….you’re suppose to eat daily. in addition, try exercising on a daily basis. take a 30 minute jog or walk every day or every other day(whatever works with your agenda).it really helps and i cant think of any better way to loose weight….in a healthy manner=)
good luck

well obviously salad, fruit ,vegtables are good for diet, but what you need to know is,just eating those types of food wont make you lose tremendous weight, or a lot, trying running maybe a few days a week, im not a pro but im sure running and physical activites make your metabolism run better which burns more fat and calories for your body

Wow:

Well check it out.
Your 14 young girl who wants to lose weight healthfully.
well easy then just make sure you eat your breakfast!! healthy one! like cereal oat meal stuff like that.
EAT 6 TIMES A DAY!! yes 6 times but not big meals SMALL healthy low fat meals!! it speeds up your metabolism because your body keeps using up energy to process the food;]
Sleep more than 8 hours a day! if u can 10 would be great! for your age
Studys have shown when u sleep less you tend to eat more and since your awake more you tend to look for food when bored. and when you dont sleep enough you become stressed and look for sugars which make u gain wieght!.
lastly if you would like to lose faster weight join a sport!!
like girls tennis its almost season for them!!
its fun yet healthy! and helps for college application!!

just eat smart, just eat when your stomach growls and stop when you know its enough or measure it before serving, maybe go for a jog every now and then, lots of water, hold your, if you start feeling sick your doing something wrong, see a doctor

You’re 14 so the gym seems a bit extreme!! Just walk more and sneak more fruit and veg in your diet. I also find eating less bread and pasta works. Don’t cut it out altogether but eat less of those and not in the evening.
