People On Yahoo Answers Selling Stuff, Working For The Man?

Friday Nov 13, 2009

i have been looking through questions, especially in diet and fitness, and in each one there seems to be a plug for some product. i have seen acai berry Alot and wuYui tea or something. are the people who plug the products working for the companies?

Any time you suspect they are advertising a product, report it as SPAM

If you think it’s a sales pitch, report a violation.
I don’t think individually answers are likely to be dishonest, because it isn’t worth the effort. But you see a lot of answers about “a site with a lot of information” and no details, and you also see sites offering things. These should certainly be reported.

All of that is spam, a clear violation of the Community Guidelines and should be reported at once. Stuff like that isn’t allowed here at all. They need to remember Answers is a Q&A site, not a place to sell stuff. What they’re doing is already “dumbing-down” the quality of this site.

Probably. I hope Yahoo! doesn’t get rid of Answers! I sure wish they and MSN would bring back chat.
Why did they ever get rid of it? Didn’t they say that they had to, cause terrorists were using it to communicate, but if you pay extra money, you can still do it?

I think some of the ads on this site probably are from people working for a company but a lot of them are just spambots so they’re not real people, they just go around spamming the links. Report them and give them a thumbs down if you can.

If i refer to a food or drink type its because thats what i use and have found best for me, not for making money unless u own the company.

Most of it is spam and is a violation of the rules.
