INTRODUCTION: Gallstones are pieces of hard solid material located in the gallbladder and may be as little as a grain of sand or as big as a golf ball, depending on how long they have been forming. They frequently have no symptoms and are often uncovered by a routine x-ray, surgery, or autopsy.
Gallstones also may move about within bile, for example, from the gallbladder into the cystic or common duct. They are a common health problem worldwide and occur more frequently in women than men becoming more common with age in both sexes. More than 20 million Americans have them and approximately one million new cases are diagnosed each year.
SYMPTOMS: Gallstones can feel like chest pain caused by a heart attack and other serious conditions. Symptoms normally start after a large stone blocks the cystic duct or the common bile duct and usually do not return after the gallbladder has been removed. Approximately 80% of people do not have any signs for a number of years, if ever, particularly if the stones stay in the gallbladder.
If you have signs, you most likely will have mild pain in the pit of your stomach or in the upper right portion of your belly. About percent of people who have signs also have stones in the common bile duct.
Exactly how diet can produces gallstone formation is not known, but diets which are high in cholesterol and fat, and low in fiber can increase the chance of developing Them.
There are two basic types of gallstones. Pigmented (bilirubin) kinds are found most often in Persons with severe liver disease and persons with some blood disorders such as sickle cell anemia.
Cholesterol types are found most frequently in: Females over 20, especially pregnant women, and males over 60 years old, Persons on “crash diets” who lose a lot of weight rapidly, Patients who use certain drugs including birth control pills and cholesterol reducing agents, Native-Americans and Mexican-Americans.
TREATMENTS: Gallstones that do not cause symptoms do not require treatment, But if they block a duct, they do. Surgery to remove the gallbladder (cholecystectomy) is the treatment of choice for stones that cause moderate to severe pain or other symptoms. However, only 1 of 5 people can have this treatment. People who have it often form new stones after a few years. Half of these require treatment, with a cost to society of several billion dollars annually.
Many new approaches to treatment have been tried over the past several years, but surgical removal of the gallbladder (cholecystectomy) remains the most widely used therapy. Non-surgical treatment includes pain medicines, antibiotics to fight infection, and a low-fat diet (when food can be tolerated).
A licensed medical professional should be consulted for diagnosis and treatment of any and all medical conditions.
CONCLUSION: Gallstones normally form in the gallbladder; however, they also can form anywhere there is bile: in the intrahepatic, hepatic, common bile, and cystic ducts. They form when cholesterol and other things found in bile make stones.
They can develop in many persons without causing signs and do not cause belching and bloating. They usually are found in adults between the ages of 20 to 50, and are more common in women in this age group.

It is easy to become obsessed with obtaining as many new members as possible, but in today’s competitive health club market, you need to make sure you keep the members you already have. Otherwise they will gladly take their money and their loyalty to one of your competitors.
It’s likely you have heard that it is 7 times more expensive to gain a new member than it is to keep an existing member happy. And you really don’t have to make them “happy”, you simply have to keep them content. The most important thing is to impress them enough that they renew or continue on their roll-over membership. Let’s look at that for a moment. Would you rather spend $10,000 for marketing or $70,000 for marketing, if both would generate the same amount of member revenue? Obviously you would rather spend seven times less to get the same results!
That’s not to say that collecting new memberships is not important, because it definitely is. But attracting new members should never mean neglecting the members you currently have. It is funny how salespeople are amazingly sweet to guests, but once that guest becomes a member, that salesperson hardly notices them again. Okay, maybe not funny it is actually quite pitiful, considering your members are smart enough to recognize this change in demeanor. Overpromising and under delivering are commonplace in the health club industry these days. It is your mission to make sure this doesn’t happen at your fitness center!
Determine what makes your members happy.
Ask each person when they check in at the front desk to fill out a quick survey. Ask both closed-ended questions and open-ended questions, which will allow them to elaborate on what they like and dislike. Question if they have any special requests and be sure to implement them, within reason.
If you are with a prospect and a member needs your help, make sure to oblige the member. The prospect won’t be angry. Actually, they will recognize that your paying members are valued and are taken care of. If you take that extra second to take care of your existing member in front of your prospect, you can then use it as a selling feature. “My apologies. I hope you feel good to know that we would drop anything to assist one of our members!”
Make sure to pay attention to your members, always say hello and goodbye to everyone, and make it a point each day to get to know several of your members a little better. Inquire them how their day went. Ask how their family is doing. Explain to them a new exercise. Introduce them to another member with shared interests. Make sure you take care of your existing members and they will do so as well.

Crashes are something which can happen at any NASCAR event; or for that matter, in any auto racing event. However, NASCAR is famous for crashes and at least one crash per race is not unheard of. Some tracks are particularly notorious for being the site of serious, even possibly fatal crashes, with such incidents occurring in nearly every event held at the venue. Some people find the high probability of serious crashes to be off-putting, while for others it is one of the biggest draws of NASCAR racing.
Yes, as has been known for a long time, many people who watch NASCAR do so for the chance to see a crash. The danger, the amazingly fast speeds, the potential for consequence, everything that’s on the line, it can make for very compelling drama. However, crashes are not in the best interest of the sport in the long term and can lead to both driver and fan deaths.
Over the last decade NASCAR has instituted a variety of safety precautions intended to improve the injury and death rate in the sport. This was largely a reaction out of necessity after the most popular driver in the sport, Dale Earnhardt, died in a crash at NASCAR’s biggest and most signature event, the Daytona 500. Some of these changes include advanced head and neck stabilizers, increased wall protection and padding and a complete redesign of the car itself.
Of course, change rarely comes without some unintended consequences and in the case of the required redesign of racing vehicles; this has been a learning curve for drivers. Many of the drivers who compete in NASCAR events have spent their entire careers with one type of car and must now adapt to the new designs. Given the speeds at which NASCAR drivers must negotiate very crowded racetracks, the penalty for a wrong move can be extremely high.
This is not to say that the added safety requirements put into place by NASCAR were not necessary; they were and are needed. However, there is still much work to be done to make the sport a safer one for drivers and spectators alike. Some drivers have opined that while improvements have been made, there are still many tragedies waiting to happen at many NASCAR racetracks and that the organization should take a proactive stance rather than waiting for another death before taking action.
At a recent race in NASCAR a car flipped over and went flying into the fence separating the stands from the track. While the car didn’t end up in the stands, it came perilously close, and debris that went into the stands injured many. The images were shocking at how close the car was to taking out entire rows of spectators.
None of these incidents have done much, if anything to make NASCAR racing less popular. Fans still eagerly line up to see every race (and some to be close to the crashes). However, NASCAR would be well advised to implement additional safety measures – there have already been some narrow escapes and one catastrophic event could be all it takes to plunge the sport into a decline from which it may not recover. Some NASCAR fans may love to see a crash; but drivers and fans shouldn’t have to risk injury or death to give these fans what they love.

Higher quality blends are from $15 for te same quantity.That is loose leaf and I would drink around 6 cups per day.
