1400 calories a day sounds a little low being a new mum and all the exercise you do anyway. Any amount of exercise you do will help you to shift the weight you wish to lose, however, keeping it off is another matter if you are keeping your calorie intake so low to begin with. I would go up to 2000 calories a day, continue to do your exercise and lose the weight slower, that way you are more assured to keep it off.

The most important thing in weight loss is your diet. Get plenty of fruits, veggies, lean protein (especially if you’ll be weight lifting), and good fats. Stay hydrated, and try some green tea.
